issues, and children that are neglected, abused,
homeless, without parents, or needing help in the court system.
In the 1980’s the
hidden reality of child abuse came to the forefront of the American
consciousness. As public awareness grew, so did the number of reports of
abuse, reaching nearly 3 million last year.
