The Mountain Area
Alternatives Pregnancy Center in Evergreen provides complete and accurate
information, peer counseling, and referrals to woman who are making, or have
made decisions about unintended pregnancies. We educate the community on the
consequences of pre-marital sexual activity and encourage sexual abstinence
among teenagers through medically sound classroom presentations and other
programs.
We provide self-administered pregnancy tests,
counseling, our "Mothers Closet" operation
which provides maternity and baby clothing and furnishings, and referrals. We
also present our "Real Life Abstinence Education Program" to
hundreds of area students during the year.
Our services are
provided at no cost to our clients, therefore, funding for operating
expenses is always needed. Funds provided through donated vehicles would
help to pay for the assistance we provide (both material and educational) to
our clients, as well as for referrals for adoption and other life matters.
