The mission of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) is to improve the quality of life by enabling all people to exercise individual choice in their own reproductive health.

PPRM has been helping women, men and teens make responsible choices for more nearly 90 years. Since 1916, PPRM has been committed to delivering the highest quality reproductive health care, teaching responsible and age-appropriate sexuality education and has been working diligently to protect a woman's right to choose. Each year more than 113,000 women, men and teens visit PPRM 31 health centers throughout our five state region.

Some examples of our recent activity include:

Health Services: More than 113,000 women, men and young people received reproductive health care including birth control, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, annual exams, HIV testing and referral, screening for breast and cervical cancer, mid-life services, prenatal care, adoption referrals, and surgical and medication abortion.

Education Services: More than 20,000 individuals received services from our education programs.  Our experienced, highly skilled educators worked collaboratively with over 200 agencies to provide a wide range of culturally sensitive, age-appropriate programs to help advance prevention of STDs and unintended pregnancy, comprehensive sex education, family planning, sexual health, positive parenting, and excellence in professional education.  All of our programs are vigorously evaluated to ensure they generate successful outcomes.

Advocacy Efforts: PPRM engages the community by organizing at the grassroots level, activating our action alert network to reach elected officials, lobbying our representatives and using the Internet to make our voices heard.  We build relationships with key legislators and decision-makers, build coalitions with other reproductive rights and progressive organizations, and conduct voter registration.

Donations that come to PPRM from vehicle donations are used to help a variety of needs:

1. To help under-insured, or un-insured receive the reproductive health care they need, but cannot afford.
2. To provide comprehensive sexual education to teens.
3. To promote responsible choices through government, media and community relations.
