Support and assistance to those in need
Sister Carmen Community Center (SCCC) provides assistance without discrimination to residents of East Boulder County who are in need. We are the sole comprehensive emergency assistance center in East Boulder County and have been serving the community for over 30 years.

Our goals are to:
- Ensure that residents of East Boulder County have food and other basic necessities;
- To prevent homelessness by offering services that help to relieve financial stressors, and;

We provide residents in need with a number of emergency assistance services, including:
- Food through our Food Bank
- Rent or mortgage payments
- Utility bills
- Transportation
- Essential items such as clothing and furniture through our Thrift Store
- Prescription medication
- School supplies
- Applying for public benefits such as food stamps
- Health and social services such as blood pressure screening, HIV tests, legal counseling, and resume writing workshops
- Early childhood education
- Case Management and specialized workshops to help clients reach self-sufficiency
- Referrals to other agencies for additional assistance

Every year we have seen an increase in need for the services we provide. Donations to SCCC through the Cars Helping Charities program are used wherever they are most needed to fund any one, or a number of, our services. For example, a contribution may be used to purchase food for our food bank, or to help one client family pay their rent and utility bill so that they can remain housing secure.
Please contact us at 303-665-4342 with any questions you have about our services! To learn more about us you can visit us at www.sistercarmen.org.
